Andrew Marston
Andrew graduated from the University of Durham
with a BSc in Geography before moving north to the University of Aberdeen to
study for their Masters in Land Economy.
Shortly after completing his postgraduate
degree, Andrew headed south to Reading and joined the College of Estate
Management as a Research Assistant. During his time at the College he has been
involved in a number of high profile projects for external clients on a wide
range of topics. These have included studies into commercial property
investment in the UK by overseas investors, total property outsourcing
(sometimes referred to a 'corporate PFI'), and valuation prescription for
residential leasehold enfranchisement. Andrew is currently working on a major
project for the British Council of Shopping Centres and the RICS Education
Trust on the potential impact to retail property markets from e-commerce.
Andrew is also working towards associate
membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors though the Research
option in the APC.
