Andrew joined Arlington Property Investors (formerly Aberdeen) as Director of Investment Strategy in March 2002. Educated at the University of Birmingham, his property career began in 1986 at Pearl Assurance plc. Pearl was one of the first UK financial institutions to undertake in-house property investment research, and was subsequently acquired by AMP, the Australian financial services group. Working for AMP Asset Management from its inception in 1991, he set up the company's property research team. Staying with the AMP property team through a series of corporate changes, he became Director of European Property Research at Henderson Global Investors, before moving to API. Andrew has responsibility for APIs international research and investment strategy, and also for the companys successful indirect property investment business. In addition to his membership of the SPR Committee, he is a member of the National Retail Planning Forum Research Group, the Bank of England Property Forum, and a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Property Investment and Finance. Andrew is a regular contributor to conferences and seminars internationally, and has served on research steering groups for the Investment Property Forum, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and government departments.
