Hotel Rafayel was conceptualised, designed, built, fitted and equipped to be an eco-friendly facility without compromising on luxury – rather than an afterthought or a gradual progression into environmental consciousness, a solid foundation was established from the very beginning by incorporating eco-friendly features into the design and build of the hotel.
 
Hotel Rafayel is committed to its eco-friendly policies and continues to explore technology and systems that can be further incorporated to reduce its carbon footprint, which is easily achievable as it will not entail structural changes and means better improved product at low or no-cost!  In this respect the hotel continues to identify cutting-edge innovative systems (like use of solar power) to continue making a bigger and better difference in its own way, and to set an example of eco-friendly operations to other businesses.  
 
The hotel has won green business awards for its eco-friendly concept, including Best Environmental Innovation, Green Business Champion, and also achieved runner up in the Carbon Reduction Achievement and Best Green Business/Team categories.
 
The site visit included a ‘behind-the scenes’ tour of the hotel and a talk with developer, Mr Iqbal Latif, the inventor of the luxury eco-friendly hotel.
