Danielle Sanderson

University College London The Bartlett

22 Gordon Street
London WC1H 0QB

Danielle read physics at Oxford University, and worked as a vacation student at CERN in Geneva and as an Assistant Scientific Officer at AWRE Aldermaston. After graduating, she joined a multi-national computer consultancy, as an Operational Researcher. She moved into the training department, and taught courses in computer programming, analysis and design, as well as communication and management skills. All courses included sessions on goal-setting and Action Planning. Applying the techniques led Danielle to discover an aptitude for distance running, and she went on to represent Great Britain 21 times at half-marathon, marathon and ultra-marathon.

Danielle joined RealService in 2005 and conducted a number of bespoke studies on behalf of BCSC, as well as interviewing occupiers and writing reports for property owners. She also worked as a verifier for the RealService Best Practice Group “Best Practice Index”, and analysed the data for the Service Charge Code Compliance Index Project.

In 2012, Danielle was awarded a stipend from RSBPG, RealService Ltd. and the Lord Samuel of Wych Cross (the founder of Land Securities) Memorial Fund, to enable her to carry out research into the relationship between occupier satisfaction and the financial performance of commercial real estate. She has just been awarded a PhD by the School of Real Estate and Planning, Henley Business School and is also a Visiting Lecturer at UCL.

Danielle is also the Research Assistant for SPR, compiling summaries of Journal articles for distribution to members.
