AND has five core teams – Commercial, Communities,  Research & Insight, Design and Leasing – who work collaboratively to deliver a variety of services to  public and private sector clients. Our core services include: placemaking and commercial strategies, social impact and community engagement, research reports, and place branding and identity. Who You Are and What You’ll Do…
We are looking for an experienced Senior Research Consultant with experience working in the built environment who is motivated, confident and ambitious.

The ideal candidate would have anywhere between 2-5 years’ experience.

You will be highly organised and data-oriented thinker who is and comfortable working across multiple workstreams and a number of different projects gathering and interpreting commercial market data and identifying market trends across all commercial use classes.

Experience with data platforms CoStar, Experian and GIS is essential for this role, and an understanding of any other similar platforms is a bonus. Similarly, confidence working with the Microsoft suite is essential, whilst Adobe is a bonus.

You will be working on an exciting array of projects and delivering Demand Assessments, Economic Assessments, Housing Needs Assessments, Insight & Research Reports often as part of major planning applications.

On our placemaking reports, you will conduct local needs assessments and demographic analyses to help us understand the communities that we work within and to effectively respond to local need through socially impact interventions.

We are very keen that you are passionate about translating data and statistics into powerful insight that informs our work and drives our strategies.

You will also be creative and able to work with our design team to effectively turn data and statistics into powerful infographics and design that tells a story.

As a Senior Consultant, you will have project management and may have line management 
expectations and the former is something you should have demonstrable experience of in your previous work. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills capable of working collaboratively within the team and balancing multiple projects at one time.

Work is never boring at AND and the ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and who wants to build a broad and thorough understanding of the development process.

What You Need…

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Between 2-5 years’ experience working in the built environment industry.
  • Proven experience working with data collection software including CoStar and Experian, and GIS.
  • Relevant industry experience and an understanding of current market trends within development and regeneration.
  • Strong understanding of the development sector and planning application processes.
  • Desire to develop management and leadership skills, perhaps with experience mentoring and guiding junior staff members.
  • Experience managing project timelines and some client management experience is welcomed.
  • Confident maintaining internal systems and spreadsheets with accurate data/information.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to achieving results.
  • The right to work in the UK.
