Kaio Nogueira (MPhil) is a PhD Student in the Department of Real Estate and Planning at the University of Reading with interests in real estate development, housing markets and planning policies for sustainable cities. Kaio's research focuses on unveiling housebuilders' responses to policy intervention, considering their strategic business decisions. Kaio was honoured with research grants from various institutions, including the Lincoln Institute for Land Policy and the Reading Real Estate Foundation. In the past, he worked as a consultee for the city authority of Sao Paulo/Brazil, in partnership with the UNESCO office, developing an innovative strategy to identify vacant properties in central urban areas. In January 2024, Kaio took on the SPR Research Assistant role.
